Some Hemodynamic Aspects of Cardiac Arrhythmias in Man; a Clinico-physiologic Correlation.

P atients describe a wide variety of peculiar symptoms in association with cardiac arrhythmias, and it is the purpose of this paper, which presents a collection of hemodynamic data in such states, to uncover any possible clinical counterparts of disturbed hemodynamic functions. The pressure curves were recorded during cardiac catheterization, and, when available, cardiac output was determined according to the Fick principle. Some of the data have been published previously.1-5 The presentation will be divided into two sections: hemodynamic findings in the intermittent arrhythmias, and those seen in the more permanentorjixed arrhythmias.
